Anticipated Impact: Occasional Disconnects \ Brief Service Interruptions

During this maintenance window, the FortiSASE OPAQ operations team will migrate the Remote service (formerly known as Endpoint Protect) to new FortiGate infrastructure. Changes will be made to the FortiGate firewalls and servers associated with this service.

Disconnects will be experienced as we perform a rolling upgrade in each geographic region. Users will automatically disconnect and be re-routed to the next closest geographic service region. We expect no widespread impact as the result of this migration. Users may experience additional latency as the result of traffic being re-routed to another geographic location.

Monitoring - The FortiSASE OPAQ Security & Network Operations team has been tracking recent critical security vulnerabilities reported for macOS Catalina, Big Sur, iOS, and WatchOS.

Apple reported that one of the vulnerabilities, discovered by security researchers at Google's Project Zero, may have been actively exploited by hackers. This specific vulnerability is found in WebKit, the browser engine that powers the Safari browser across all Apple devices.

We strongly recommend that customers keep their software and operating systems up-to-date and ensure that security updates are performed as they're made available. Updates for all platforms are currently available.
